At Governors Inn, we welcome guests to the perfect combination of luxury and history. Built in 1891, this beautiful property was once home to Kentucky Governor Simeon Willis. Throughout our 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, one will experience impeccable antique furnishings alongside serene comfort. Aside from spending your night in a momentous mansion, one can participate in numerous activities during the day. Being that we are positioned in the hub of Ashland, we are seconds away from countless endeavors – with Central Park being next door. Central Park includes various walking and biking trails, play parks for children, a food stand, and during the holidays, Christmas light displays. Bikes will be complimentary to those who stay with us. If you like water adventures stop by Grayson lake. They offer rentals on houseboats, jet skis and kayaks. Located on the edge of Kentucky, guests can also travel 5 minutes by car into Ohio and view the beautiful Ohio State River. If you choose to travel further, we are 15 minutes from the Huntington Airport and 25 minutes from Marshall University.
For those who love shopping, various shopping centers are located within walking distance. – including outdoor centers and the Ashland Mall. Continuing on, feel free to walk down to the Paramount Theatre, which shows numerous movies, plays and concerts weekly.
And with respect to our guests who may have loved ones in the hospital, we are located within walking distance to Kings Daughters Hospital. Walk thru the majestic park straight to the hospital.
